Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: A giant alien ship tries to take over Earth but America saves the day.  But what if we said this time... the ship was bigger? And the aliens were bigger, the characters were either more generic or not themselves, and the script/pacing was unbalanced?  Now that’s a modern blockbuster if we haven't seen one!  We had 20 years to prepare - Join us as we save the world again (revealing a new parody Recap "Song" while we're at it) and wrap up the ID franchise in Independence Day: Resurgence!

FOURTH OF JULY SPECIAL - Episode 97 - Independence Day

Aliens, aquamarine lasers, the fabled Area 51... can it get more American than that?  We celebrate the 4th of July a little differently here with an all time disaster epic full of an ensemble of heroes, extra-terrestrial villains bent on global annihilation, and a world united (for once) against an existential threat.  Times are tough but if nothing else, we're glad to have an extra day off work.  So join us and fellow SequelMan Joel "The Voice" Paauwe as we fight for the future of all mankind in Roland Emmerich's 90's sci-fi classic, Independence Day!

Episode 93 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two

It all ends here - right where our journey into the Wizarding World started.  The warm and inviting halls of our beloved Hogwarts are no more as the school descends in chaos upon Lord Voldemort's attack - a desperate attempt to keep Harry and our heroes from destroying his remaining Horcruxes.  Love persists through these evil events, stunning spells fly through the sky, and The Boy Who Lived discovers the truth surrounding his relationship with the Dark Lord… also, Neville is now certifiably hot.  We invite you to join us as we break into Gringotts, summon the enchanted statues, and defeat You Know Who once and for all in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2!

Episode 92 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One

The Ministry has fallen, Death Eaters are growing in number on the daily, witches and wizards around the country are being persecuted for their blood status, and Lord Voldemort is the move, searching for one of the mythical trio of magical artifacts known as the Deathly Hallows that will secure his place as the most powerful dark wizard of all time.  But there is hope.  Following in Dumbledore's footsteps, Harry and the gang decide to forgo another semester at Hogwarts and hit the road in order to track down and destroy the remaining five Horcruxes, each of which contain a piece of Voldemort's shattered soul.  The only thing is, they have no idea what they are doing, how to find them, or even how to destroy them... but at least they get to go camping and travel cross-country throughout Great Britain!  After all, it's not a true English adventure if there aren't long bouts of walking.  But this is only half of the story - Pack your bags, ready your wands, and chug some Polyjuice Potion as we *try to hunt Horcruxes in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows… Part 1!

Episode 91 - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

You thought Hogwarts was unsafe before... well, it’s especially unsafe by the conclusion of this film.  Harry and the gang have bigger things to worry about than the resurgent Dark Lord this term:  It’s career prep time, with a healthy dose of extracurricular antics and schoolyard romance!  Also, Dumbledore asks Harry to gain the trust of the new Potions Professor Horace Slughorn and recover a very important, yet highly altered memory - a memory critical to discovering the secret to Lord Voldemort's apparent immortality.  Take notes and join us for one more "ordinary" term at Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!
